F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd is the well known international pharmaceutical enterprise having its headquarters situated at Basel, Switzerland. The company was established way back in the year 1896 by Fritz Hoffmann-La Roche which is now owned by Roche Holding AG. The other product line of the company includes the central nervous system-CNS, rejection of organ transplantation, autoimmune disorders and several skin conditions.

Some of the other significant products by the company that are widely used include: the anti-influenza Trimeris, anti-obesity medication Xenical, and the hepatitis C therapy Pegasys. Besides all these, Hoffmann-La Roche also has certain alliance contracts with deCODE genetics, Affymetrix and Incyte Genomics for developing new drugs.
